What is Elephanzi?
Elephanzi is a web application developed in order to help people learn more than 2000 chinese characters in less than a year.
It uses an SRS system to make sure the learned characters aren't forgotten. The order in which the characters are learned has also been optimized to prioritize the most useful characters first.

Please note that Elephanzi is still a very new project and you should expect to see new features get released as time goes by. Go to the community forum to vote on the next features that should be implemented and to voice feedback on the existing ones.
Why make Elephanzi?
The founder is a passionate language learner and after learning Japanese, he tried his hand at Chinese.

However, when it came to learning Chinese characters, he couldn't find any application that he was happy with.
This is why we started working on Elephanzi and we hope it's going to be useful for other people as well.
